News From PCG (the Pretentious Church of God)

Google alerts can be quite strange sometimes.  Take the one for “Herbert armstrong mailing address”.  I have to wonder what the post office would charge for that one.

Then, there is the alert “A House for God!” where Stephen Flurry, son of Gerald Flurry, the latter being the pastor general and head false prophet of the Philadelphia Church of God, calls their new Armstrong Auditorium “the house of God”.

Pretentious much?

  1. Now now — we should all ask if our houses are houses of/for God.

"….but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." — Joshua 24:15

May theirs be. And yours. And mine.

  2. In Joshua's day, there was the Tabernacle. He was not declaring his house as where God lives, but where his allegiance lie.

According to my NT, the Church is God's house, not some false peophet's auditorium.
