One of the common threads in the abortion debate is the reasoning that women will get abortions anyhow, so we should make it safe for them. That’s like saying people will kill each other anyhow, so let’s make it safe for the murderer.
Faulty reasoning aside, though, is the claim that abortions are “safe” true? Is it really safe just because they are tucked into sterile rooms with diplomas on the wall?
