Today, I posted on my technology blog, “Remembering Martin Luther King, Jr.“:
I remember when my daughter was still in grade school, one of her friends was looking at a calendar, and she remarked, “What is MILK day? Why do we have a day off of school for milk?” Humorous, to be certain, and I should point out that neither of her parents were native born citizens, so I hope we all can be forgiving of a bit of ignorance on the part of such a young child in that circumstance.
