Don’t Let Your Joy Be Stolen!

Today I became aware that Life, Hope & Truth posted an article on “Fruit of the Spirit: Joy“.

As the winter months draw near, the days become shorter and it seems like such a long time before the spring holy days, there are so many things that the enemy can throw at us intending to rob us of our joy.  Even just plain normal fatigue can make it seem as though all joy is drained from us, let alone some of the trials that so many seem to be experiencing.

For me, this article is encouraging and a good reminder that no matter our circumstances, we are to be optimistic about the outcome.

One verse that comes to mind when I feel overwhelmed is Jeremiah 29:11.  I will put here Jer 29:11-13 (HCSB), even though v 11 is the heart of comfort for me:

11 For I know the plans I have for you”–this is the Lord‘s declaration–“plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Anyone else want to share their favorite inspirational verse?
