According to MSNBC.com, researcher Mark Gasson is the first known case of “Man infects himself with computer virus”.
In all honesty, this should not be a big surprise, but the implications are staggering now that it is known to be feasible. Various forms of malware were once only research topics until someone proved it possible.
The possibility that terrorists and criminals could infect artificial limbs, pacemakers and other bionics is troublesome indeed.
