Chile

COGWriter Robert Thiel wrote yesterday, "Death Toll Rises in Chile, But LCG Members Safe".

On 27 February, UCG President Clyde Kilough stated in "Updates on the Earthquake in Chile":

"Leon Walker, the director of the Spanish-speaking areas, reported this morning that he has been unable so far to reach the elders in Chile via telephone or email. However, he had heard from members in the United States who have relatives in Santiago that few injuries have been reported among members in Santiago, although one member had stitches due to flying glass cuts. Members in Talca and Concepcion, which is near the quake epicenter, have called in and they are all fine."

I have not heard of any deaths of COG members there, but that should not diminish our prayers for Chile.
